The design consists of a long indoor / outdoor space that forms a mechanical forest within the protective confines of a protective scrim. The individual panels of the screen wall have electronically controlled opacity, shifting from clear to white in a computer controlled panel, mimicing a foggy backdrop and visually masking the city outside. The heart of the installation is a display and lecture hall. The activities on the interior, whether a static display or projected images, glow through the frosted glass facade and activiating the surrounding space. |
